The project manager and I first discussed the general structure of the platform witch consists several different users, end users who are the bridge players, tournament managers and club managers. In the first stage. Since the system is very complex, we divided the work, the first step was to focus on the structure of the system from the end user's side - the bridge players, which is the first and main platform user in order to market it correctly. Later we delved into more complex features, but less necessary to release a beta version.
In the process, I did in-depth research on the nature of the users. The majority of users are adults and therefore I have to understand how to characterize the design in the best way to make the system accessible to this type of users so they will have an optimal gaming experience.
We also did a study of similar game interfaces collaboration with users to understand what works better and what works less on those platforms. People tend to use sites similar to what they know because they feel more confident.
That is why we need to preserve the existing configuration and find solutions for unusable features.
